    Default Older Iphone 6S

Any suggestions on best practice to extend battery life on older phones? Mophie or something?

That's what I did. It's easy to do. Just buy the kits off Amazon or Ebay.

Will that take care of it? Seems the 6's are almost obsolete now.

I have a 6s and changed the battery last year. So far it's held up pretty good.

Looks like you can get replacement battery kits with all tools to do it for around 20 bucks on amazon..

Beyond replacing the battery, do not update the iOS software updates they send you. It's been well proven method of apple making older models obsolete. Update some stuff that requires more processes's to run than an older model can handle efficiently and thus causes the battery to drain quicker.

I'm sure that they can, but they will probably charge more than the phone is worth. I bought a kit off Amazon/Ebay (can't remember which) and followed the instructions on a youtube video. It takes a little bit of time, but it's not that hard. The hardest part is pulling out the old battery. It's held in place by sticky strips. If you pull them the correct way and they come out like they should its easy. However, if you try to just pull the battery out or the strips do like mine and come apart because of age/heat it is a pain in the ass to get the battery out. It's amazing how strong those sticky strips are.

If you can get to an apple store before end of year they have it discounted to $29.99 as a way to make up for their updates causing issues in older phones. Taking mine on Saturday.

It's two screws to take an iphone apart and three more screws on the inside. Youtube it. It's so simple even a caveman or a dentist could do it.

i got a new screen and a new battery a month ago.
the battery was 19.99. it would've been 29.99 had I not been replacing the screen at the same time. well worth it, IMO.

Bought a Tranium battery pack/case. Seems to work good, so far at least will run all day with both batteries charged.
