    Default plumbing/rinnai

it appears that my hot water pressure has decreased.

what type of maintenance does the rinnai need? (since i feel certain I havent done it)

anyone who plumbs got an idea as to why this might happen? or do I have something else going on?

I thought it was just me....but then wife and kids noticed it, too. Just not the pressure (volume) of hot water we had come to expect.

Thanks in advance for dicking up my thread while I weed thru it to pick out the important stuff.

Call a plumber to clean it. But you've probably already voided the warranty by now.

there's a flush procedure you can try before calling a plumber....fixed the same symptoms a few years ago

In between the intake and hot out on the underneath side of the heater there is a screw cap about the size of a nickle. It's got a screen filter in it. Pull it out, clean it and go on about your business. Easy enough even a dentist could do it.

Mine has an inline filter before the hot water filter. But that could just be because I have a well. But might check that too.

    Excess fluoride.
