Default N.C. swan /duck guide recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a swan / duck guide in North Carolina. My sons age 10 and 13 wanna give it a go. We have hunted with Parker’s and wade Austin but they don’t hunt swans . Thanks in advance

I will PM you where I am going this year. Seems to be reasonable with a great success ratio. I will be hunting on Jan. 5th.

My son and i have used Aaron Mathews who has a ridiculous success rate. We had a group of 7 and all got a swan.

I’ve set up a hunt with the same guy Rodney has, and sounds like he does a really good field hunt too, where you’re in a blind and not sitting in a ditch.

I have done both field and water hunts. Sitting in a small ag ditch (bean field) surrounded by geese and swan decoys was actually pretty fun.
Look up Fourth Generation Outfitters, or call Aaron 252-619-2880. He works his ass off and kills piles of swans, and some snow geese.

Conman's seems to have a lot of satisfied customers on the nchuntandfish website. Can't vouch for his hunts myself. He's a helluva bear guide too apparently.

Captain vic's guides usually have alot of chances at swans.we were covered up with them last year.none of us had a permit and I really didnt have an inclination to shoot one...but we had plenty of chances.funny how the ducks follow the swans.we had a huge flock behind our blind and they acted as a magnet for the ducks.evidently the swans know where the food is...

dark, kinda strong meat. not much on the bird. cooked slow in crock pot, like roast beef, was decent to eat.

That's what everyone on there says. One day I'll bear hunt with him.

Willie Allen with Outback Outfitters. Has great hunting right outside Mattamuskeet, calls them with his own voice. Probably the best bear guide in eastern NC. He will even do neck band hunts for a little more.
