I don't really care because content of character and a mans word haven't meant anything in a long time.

But the difference is one is trading money for an education and the other agreed to perform a service for an education. This is why I've never really had an issue with paying college players as long as they don't get the benefit of a free education as well. You get either money as a "semi-pro development league" player or you can get an education. Pick one.

He’s just trying to better himself. He’s been awesome for jake and the dirtpeckers. He’s earned the right to decline the Charlotte trip in my opinion. I don’t see why anyone should be bothered.
I hope Deebo has a long career in the NFL.

He could've been a dick and faked an injury or waited til the day of the game and said he had the shits, but at least he was honest about it. Whether he's taking welding or playing football, the point of going to college is to make your chances of a lucrative career better, so if the career comes knocking a little early, why not?

These last 4 years have been the worst 4 years of your life. I mean for Clemson to make the playoffs 4 straight years is eating you up inside. It ain’t healthy to let it get to you man.

Playing an all star game and not the bowl with your team? Internal issues?

Guess he'll have to ask for his helmet back to wear in the senior bowl.
