    Default Fat Trout

Sure hope we have another good freeze that kills all the trout again this winter.
The small one is 16 inches, just to give a perspective on the fatty.
40 fatties caught within 2 hrs ...………...from walking the creek bank in waders one day this past week.

Damn nice fish. Sounds like a good time catching them from the bank.

I fished yeasterday in a little tournament in CHARLESTON harbor. I don’t normally fish this time of year. Spring summer and early fall I consistently catch 23-25” trout. Yesterday I caught about 25 trout, but none over 16”. Are you throwing mirror lures or grubs? I did get a few nice blowups on topwater.

    ETA. Nice fish!

The red bite was hot the last few weeks out of limehouse on a falling tide. I pretty much use molting gulp shrimp full time.

all caught on a mirrolure, I stopped throwing the traditional Mirrolures a few years ago and now only using the Mirrolure MR17

I usually trout fish in eastern NC, sometimes I make the 4 hr drive both ways same day to fish my honey hole.
I am slowly learning my way around Charleston and the Wando area

I'll trade a squirrel hunt for a trout fishing trip

    It's a twitchbait
cast it, let it sink for a few seconds then twitch it twice, pause, reel a few feet, stop and twitch it twice, pause and repeat
they nail it on the pause

sunrise on a cold ass morning over a mist covered trout hole.
I often see lots of ducks in this particular creek, I need to take someone in here that knows more about duck hunting than I do.
I often come around a bend in the creek and ducks take off, I couldn't tell you what kind they are
