    Default You're gonna miss this

    Two pictures, 17 years apart.

Children grow up too dang fast! Don't think for a minute that you need to wait until they're older to make out of state hunting trips with you, if you do, you'll miss out on some incredible memories. Now that my sons are adults, "life" makes it very difficult to get them together on the same day, even more so for a week, to hunt together.

One day you'll sit back and really miss this, I know I do.

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!

My boys are only two and six months. You definitely need to treasure everyday. You’re right Paul, about not waiting to take them on trips. You just need to pick and chose what trips you take them on. Fowler and I are going on an OOS Canvasback hunt and a NC swan hunt this season. Time is precious.

Banded locally. I shot one that was banded about 100 miles away.

The tree duck population has exploded. I normally wouldn't even shoot these birds but the hunting was slow and Black Bellies are some of the finest ducks to eat.....about like shooting a crane tho, not too sporting.

Roseau cane and locally banded tree ducks...sounds familiar. If your boys hunt the area that it looks like, we used to shoot a bunch of tree ducks at our lease down there, several banded every year from a few miles down the road. Good stuff!
