    Default Smoked Duck Breast?

    Anybody done it yet? What recipe did you use? I’ve never tried smoking anything wanna test it before I cook some for a Christmas party later in the month

    That sounds like it would be tough as shoe leather and gamey as hell! If it turns out paletable, I'd like to try it too!

    Duck needs to be cooked rare as hell to be much good. I have been doing a 48hr marinade on a pile I am grilling tomorrow. Cant wait...

    This one I like to do with scaup or gnarly gadwall and I have also done it with wild turkey breast, which is delicious. I do not do it in the oven. I put it on the grill indirect heat and lots of wood chips.

    I've smoked whole birds, never just breasts. If just a breast I'd grill it or pan sear it to medium rare. I like the honest food guy, or the website.. it's only slightly pretentious

    I smoked some in my parents little electric smoker and they were damn good. Just like cooking them any other way, make sure you don't over cook.
