I went with the 10" for $160. I hope you people dont think less of me.

I also drink miller high life at $6.99/12 so I know I've saved enough by now to buy an "expensive" pan.
For the uneducated, they should know that your Miller High Life is also known the "Champagne of Beers"

So for about the price of 4 cartons of name brand smokes you got your daughter a lifetime piece of cookware... how wasteful of you.

I would not have a problem spending $160 on a quality cast iron skillet, but those Smithey skillets look kinda crude to me.
I'd rather get on FleaBay and get an old Griswold or similar. You'd come out a lot cheaper and likely with a better product.

That black lady seasoned the pan for 30 seconds with 1/8 teaspoon of Wesson oil, cooked 1 ounce of the thinnest bacon I’ve ever seen, immediately washed the cast iron pan with Dawn dish soap and then bitched that her “seasoning” didn’t stick.

Are you insinuating that there may be some outside market force swaying said results? Preposterous. Google is totally impartial. I am sure of it...

Well Smithey gave that cowboy guy his for free and old guy didn't have any good to say other than it was heavy and had pour spouts! I understand the idea of local made etc., but their reviews say your over paying for a frying pan. Matter fact I couldn't find any real good reviews in favor of buying a Smithey.
