Is that a magnolia wreath over the gas range? Someone likes living on the edge.
Baked turkey, baked ham, string beans, rice and gravy, butter beans, silver queen corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, homemade biscuits,,,........and pecan pie for desert.
That's what we're having.

Lunch Tomorrow
My uncle takes care of the turkey, it's actually pretty good as far as baked birds go. Each year Dad and I throw around the idea of deep frying a bird but then we come to the conclusion that not everyone in the family is worth the hassle it would put us through (just kidding, sort of.....) but it would probably mess our morning hunt so we never actually get around to doing it. Grandma takes care of the ham and pecan pies, and macaroni and cheese. Mom and her sister take take care of the rest of the sides. My aunt makes the best cornbread dressing ever. My aunts by marriage, well, you really don't want them bringing anything.
Thanksgiving night is a big breakfast spread/game night at my sisters house. It usually pretty fun, it involves her inlaws and her father-n-law is crazy ( I've personally witnessed him call Lindsey Grahams office and ask the staff if Lindsey has plans to come out of the closet anytime soon).
Should be a good time
I miss my Grandma's and Great Grandmother. Don't take it for granted.
Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/

We gave you Corn, you gave us clap, bad trade.
Going to my Grandma's tomorrow for lunch. Me and the boys will get up early and go shoot a wood duck hole, then come home and so I can start cooking. I fry the turkey, the wife will do brown rice and another side or two. I'm also gonna run by and pick up a turkey breast to throw in the smoker as well.
