    Default Duck ID

Tried comparing to some ID charts but having trouble. Flew into a wood duck hole this morning not sure what it is. Some type of merganser?

If anyone has some genuine insight I’d appreciate it though.

Thanks. Still learning. But I get the jokes since it’s more obvious to other guys.

    Keep on learning.

One thing I've learned about that duck right there over the years, is that they literally crunch with a single shot Every Single Time at any range. You will not cripple one
And once you know what they are, you can just quit shooting at them period.

No, it is the prized hen merganser.

No matter how far you throw it from your blind it will always drift back.

I know that’s what I’m saying. I usually just splash a little Italian seasoning on it and throw it on the grill for 10 minutes.
