    Default Duck pond question

    I manage a small upland impoundment....as of right now there is probaby 2 ac of flooded corn in one section....birds fly in in the morning (all wood ducks) feed for 30 min and all leave in one mass and head back into the swamp....I have only seen birds in NODAk do this in dry fields have any of y’all seen this before

    See it regularly.

    Sometimes they come in droves of 40 at 10am, feed for an hour, then all leave and head back to a loafing spot.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    Birds feed on my pond until 8ish, leave and return at 430 to 5pm and off to roost.
