There are plenty on both sides with little or no affiliation with the school they claim as their own. Half the people in Pickens Co. didn't go to any college, yet most probably consider the Tigers their team. Those that live in glass houses ought not to be chucking rocks so haphazardly....

I’m a CU alumnus and use they, Tigers, then etc. I don’t play football for them nor did I. Using they, them, Tigers etc., allows me to distance myself and be critical when convenient. Like they recruited that terrible QB DJ Uneedtobesomewhereelse or their OLine sucks. Of course I can say we’re really good on defense and remain impartial. They are not very good this year, I happen to be doing very well.
