Steady mist here in Newberry. Slight W breeze with occasional swirl. Saw a doe cross dirt road from thicket to open pines around 4 while I heading to the stand..

They are walking, have seen 7 in the last 2 hours.
One was a small 6 and he got a pass at 40 yards.
I am on a hardwood ridge in the woods, corn in a drainage below me, no plots

Walking hard here been in tha stand 12 minutes and have seen 5 does and 2 bucks and they were both on a mission to breed something

the little buck I saw was 3 minutes step for step behind the does. This ridge has the largest scrapes and rubs I have seen in 50 years of hunting.Originally Posted by Southernduck

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Just went outside in York county to do a few things. 20 minutes of that was enough to convince me not to make the drive south for the afternoon hunt. If there was a big buck in the equation I’d do it, but screw sitting in this crap to shoot a couple of does
