Not much of a story, he was in and out of there but not on a regular basis. Sat there the afternoon before and saw three does. The next morning cell camera showed him there at 915 getting a bite and checking for does. I figured with him having been there at 915 that morning he might have bedded up for the day in that block of woods and might come back through. I was running late and got in the stand about 330pm. I heard a stick crack and saw him about 75 yards out coming through the timber. He came came in circled and stopped at ten yards but I couldn’t shot through the trees. He circled around and I shot him at twenty yards. He jumped ran ten yards and started walking and wobbling. He tried to go back across the ditch and couldn’t make it. Died in the ditch 40 yards from me.
"You are Citadel Men, you have no pension for failure, you wear the Ring, you never let a friend down, you will be good fathers, husbands, and leaders in the armed forces and industry, you are strong in heart, body, and mind. You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."
- late President Ronald Reagan
