    Default Manchester State Forest

Has anyone ever hunted ducks on the Manchester state forest? I drove through yesterday and noticed a ton of nice ponds and swamps. Wondering if anyone has ever done any good out there?

    Primitive weapons only.

I'd try Manchester farms, before the Forrest.

The dove fields are an overlooked hot spot. Nothing like killing mallards in standing corn and never having to get your feet wet.

This. It's almost like being out west. Except bigger skeeters

Not properly maintained. Every year they place boards over the drains then remove them post season. I could be wrong but they don't give it a dry year and opt to flood it every year. It's overcrowded, overgrown with nothing beneficial, and imagine this, holds more hunters than it does wood ducks. It's not as sketchy as hickory top but it's a close second without the reward of a limit. You will 100% have steel shot raining down on you if you go to Manchester.

Bring your bike, or a good pair of hiking boots.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

You will find a inbred village in there before you find a duck.
