A diesel Denali will hold it's value better than any other truck.

He doesn't want a lot of creature comforts if he's only buying the XL package.

Gas 3/4 ton trucks are really only made to look cool, not necessarily to tow a lot. I've owned a couple, so there's no shame in my game.

If he's going to tow a lot, I would say go diesel.

Brandon actually ended up being a decent tight end. Had a huge catch in the Peach Bowl win over LSU
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

That’s because you and I don’t change trucks like we do underwear. Most of these boys can’t remember the last time they didn’t have a truck, 4 wheeler or boat “note”.

    i dont drive a prius.

but i have never had a car "that held its value" actually hold its value when I sold it. It only costs more on the front end to be cool. I am never paying money again to fit in or be cool.

If you think you’ll get a loaded 1500 for that money you ain’t been truck shopping in a while. The 19 1500’s fully loaded are in the mid 60’s

    underrated post

But for the sake of the discussion; you don't buy it because it's "new" but that's just me. Not everyone will feel the same.

40k for the base model gas truck is high. If he’s towing a lot with it he’ll be sorry for buying the gas too.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Motor and transmission combo is reliable? No issues with those two?

if he is towing 500lbs a lot- he will be fine with the gas- towing much more than that
a lot or towing heavy , 10,000 plus- get the diesel, I have a fleet and that's the truth.
He needs to upgrade to an XLT- worth it every day he owns it and at resale- if he buys a XL- it will only be re-sellable as a work truck these days.
tell him no lift or stupid level if he's going to be towing much, the geometry of the higher rear end is a design feature to allow you to see proper weight load distribution at a glance- still up or level= good, sagging a little- ok, sagging a lot( squatting) needs to redistribute the weight load.

Weight distributing hitch is priceless for towing heavy, don't need 5th wheel or gooseneck- he gets full bed use with w/d hitch and can tow very heavy safely and level.

Probably the best 250 on the market.

Fancy trucks are for fancy pants boys
