So, my wife and I want to do some tent camping this fall. She will require a campground with nice bathroom/shower facilities. I'm looking for suggestions on campgrounds in SC, NC, or Tenn. Let's hear it.

Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
davidson river campground is a safe bet. Also, up on the parkway around Pisgah there are some nice campgrounds with facilities
there is one right above Oconee st park before you get to the fish hatchery. Its federal campground like buck hall.

good luck getting near the parkway in the fall without early reservations. Yankees need to see LEAVES!!
There are some walk up campgrounds up there but its a good drive to find out they are taken.
go to Reservations.gov and look around

We have done Hot Springs for a number of years and it’s great.
There is a little campground just past the casino and before you get into Cherokee that we discovered and love. You turn right beside the Wendy's if I'm not mistaken. It's back off the road so it's quiet, and not real big. Our favorite spots are Maggie Valley, and Waynesville so it's where we like to go to camp. Really just depends on what you like to do. It's close to the casino if you like to gamble (walking distance), close to Maggie Valley/Cherokee, and close to Waynesville. Good little place to stay........or at least love it.

I was funning. I don't really do camping anymore.
The last time I spent a night in a tent on purpose was twenty something years ago, right near the blow out. It snowed, sleeted, and I ran out of rock and rye a day early. I killed some ducks though.
It's not like I'm all about not "camping" though. It's just been a while since I have.
We used to go to Hot Springs when I was a kid and loved it. Would like to get back up there....
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....
The queers have taken over Hot Springs quiet a few years back.....
Well then....I'll have to come up with somebody else to send.

Doesn't Oconee County have that? The last time I was there I was a teenager, like 18. There was a group of us, with girls. We had enough couth to go find another place when a group of boyscouts pulled up next to us.
