    Default Hammond vs Cardinal Newman

    Friday night
    730
    Edens stadium

    Televised nationally on fox.

Couple of 4/5 star recruits on the D-line for Hammond. I think both have offers from USC, Uga, etc... and they are juniors.

Might wanna keep an eye on #57 on the O-line. He's a smart player with very little talent.
or #28 on defense....who has some talent but not enough to play until one of the 5 stars gets tired.

    should be a good game.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Congratulations to Florence Christian school for the big win in the rematch with Trinity-Byrnes! I believe that makes them championship game bound.

That game shouldn’t be close. First Baptist is the only team from SCISA that has given Hammond a game this year, and both teams were sloppy.

we handled that byrnes running back well enough. he's a load but I didnt think they had much else to worry about... I hope y'all whoop em, Mars.

Hammond had over 200 yards of offense called back against First Baptist after some very interesting penalties in that game....

The officiating in that game was terrible both ways.

They have that big running back, but honestly he doesn't get many carries due to his heavy workload on the Dline. He is a good player. They have a lot of speed and athleticism at QB and RB and if I recall, a pretty good sized tight end they like to hit in the flats across the middle. I have seen both teams and it should be a good game for the first half. I would expect Trinity to pull away in the 4th quarter but I haven't seen Flo Christian since early in the season. If they have improved some (which I have heard they have since they are so young) it might be a pretty good game.

    Good Luck to all involved!

    absolutely certain.

all hammond students have to pay their way.

I fed the team last night. 40 some odd players and coaches ate 40 some odd pounds of BBQ.
    I was impressed.

    .
My wife's nephew is on scholarship at Hammond. They may pay a little something as a tribute, but it's only a fraction of actual tuition.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
