Deer in the first pic is mature,, neck flows into the shoulders,, almost like one big mass. Deer in the second pic is sleak,, muscular gaining body mass but you can see from the neck to the shoulder has still not one big mass. He is either 3.5 or 4.5, but not fully mature

Also keep in mind that the pictures of #1 are from late October-November, and the pictures of #2 are from early September.

Deer #2 is not 5.5. The deer in the first 2 pictures would be but not #2. Stump is spot on with what he said.
These pics were last yr, here is a pic of the younger buck this yr,, the younger deer last yr was 3.5 ,this yr he Is 4.5
