    Default Need M1 Garand knowledge

Dad has an M1 Garand that he inherited that neither I nor my brother are really interested in. Looking to see what the value of the gun is worth. Based on my brief check of the serial number it appears to be made in November of 1941. I haven't had a chance to dive deeper into it but plan on doing so later this week. Who would be someone that could give me more info on that gun besides the www? Don't mind driving to let someone take a look at it

Edit: misread serial number and gun was made in June of 1945

Springfield is pretty common but there may be attributes of your gun that increase value.

The CMP website can give you a rough idea of value until you have it appraised.

One of the finest firearms ever designed. Find a clip and put a few rounds through it before you sell it. I can mail you one if you like.

Post up some pics and we can throw together a good number for you....

Condition, serial number run, sights, etc can all play into value...

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you don't want that info on the interwebs

Cool stock cartouches. Inspected by Norman F. Ramsey.

    Metal looks good.

Is there a Makarov in that holster?

Just damn. Gorgeous. I've always wanted one, but I doubt I could afford this one.
