    Default Lake marion construction project

Does anyone know about the construction project out near Jack's creek to persanti island? The local residents said they are clearing out the stump field in front of persanti to the big water. They have a barge parked at the landing that picks up logs.Is there any reason for this?

Like santee cooper cares about fishing.

Santee Cooper put out an opportunity for bidding for underwater logging. It’s about a 4 year contract.

Isn’t there a planned housing development for the Hatchery and persanti island?

The trackhoe on the barge to the left of the ramps has nothing to do with removing the standing timber in Jack’s creek.

Don’t believe much the resident camper folks tell you.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
