Wyoming would rank near the top.
More fuel = more boost!!
But I haven’t been to Washington.... yet!

I would go to the Delta of MS or near big lake in LA ( Calcasieau). The Cajun hiway is beautiful but the trout and ducks at Big lake are off the chart, add in Cajun Charlies in Sulphur and all is good.
I have lived here 66 years in 2 weeks, and it has been great. I have killed my share of ducks, deer, hogs, caught flounder, winter trout, channel bass and all offshore species during my time in Georgetown, Manning, Alcolu, Summerton, Cheraw,Awendaw and other places OOS. I guess really I don't want to move because I have had a great time where I am, and my Daughter is in Cola.
But if I could it would be towards the Delta in one of 2 states.

Texas. More shit to kill and you can do it year round.
The ocean is way too far from the midwest
Same as everyone else has said. Monttana, Wyoming, Idaho etc. I think Wyoming would be my first choice only because there’s no one there. There are just about as many people in Greenville county as all of Wyoming. I like sc too but this place is to f***’n crowded. Alaska could be cool to.
Glenn, there is paved road access at the Sow's Ear Ranch. The Locals would love your accent. ( They think I'm faking mine) Every other Saturday free spay/neuter be OK??? Clip and Snip hasn't been trademarked. There is the Hitchin Post in Quincy and the Idle Hour - but those are bars/ restaurants.
Just canines and felines or can we include Bovines??? The Messicans don't want their Cabritos altered so that is out.. how are you on horses?? There are still a fair number of folks out there who still ride..
3 hours to the West Coast and all that provides. East bound as far as we want to ride. A 3000 sq ft house can be had cheap..All the Rainiers you and the crew can eat June - August.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
Alaska would be great if you had a Husky with tundra tires, then Arizona in the winter to hunt quail
Wyoming

If I don’t have to live there year round, Alberta. Moose, elk, mule deer, white tail, bear, grouse, ducks, and geese in the same area. Literally, all around you. Sheep within a days drive ($36 for the tag, OTC) in the mountains, North West Territories a days drive as well. More crown/public land than anywhere I’ve seen and while I don’t agree with it, land can’t be leased for hunting. Sucks for land owners, but great for getting permission to hunt. Non residents can’t hunt without a guide, so pressure is fairly limited.
Down side, it can get to -40 in the winter.
In my dream world, I’m in Alberta in the fall, South America in our summer (stag and ducks), NC mountains in the winter and spring.
Forgot, AR in winter for ducks as well.
If I have to play by the rules and pick a state, it would come down to Montana, Wyoming, or Washington.
