The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

So true. If you owned property you could vote, otherwise stay at home. It's a simple concept, people who own property were invested in the well-being of the country. It's a common practice in business. The people who vote for the executives are called shareholders.

Tax without representation? If you want to exclude those that do not pay federal taxes so be it, but if you taxes a person they get a vote.

flip it around and say if you DONT pay taxes then you DONT get to vote.

The eligible voter rolls would shrink by 47%

Show up to register to vote with a copy of your 1040 from the previous 4 years.
A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.

I know, sales, gas, property, excise taxes, fees and permits. Yet I am still good with anyone not paying federal taxes barred from federal elections. A pipe dream most states are content with illegals voting. In state elections everyone pays sales taxes.

My point was it is not Constitutional to tax someone and not allow them to vote.
