That Atwood fuel line is notorious for that, go to Napa and get some real fuel line.

Replace the fuel line. If that doesn't do it, run a can of seafoam through it. I'd use seafoam regardless.

The whole inner pick up line on mine fell of. Motor would run great with a full tank but die within about 20 minutes. Could lay tank on side towards pick up line and it would run it shut off as soon as the fuel wasn't near that area. Went straight to west marine and bought a much better tank and use the old 1 for storage.

I would check the carbs but also replace the fuel line and tank with a quality one. I promise that will save you an ass of headache in the future.

Attwood sucks. So does the grey mercury and yanaha ones. Napa rubber line is way to go.

I've run auto fuel line for years. Good enough for a car / truck, good enough for a boat.

Sunlight tends to harden it and cause dry rot cracks but at $1.50 or so a foot it's cheap enough to replace every now and then.

Sounds like the carb needs to be cleaned.

Thanks again for all the advise. I’m no mechanic but I’m no dummy either should I try taking the carb of and cleaning myself or have a shop do it?

It's not that hard. Just be sure and connect all of the linkages back right.

Try it, take pictures of it as you disassemble. Buy a rebuild kit and a shop manual if you can. You will learn a lot in the process.

Worst case if you mess it up, put it in a bag and take it to a shop at that point.

I would change the tank and line and put fresh gas in before you go too crazy with the carb. I had one of those attwood tanks and it would always build condensation so the fuel would be full of water and it would run like shit. Start with that and get the old fuel burnt out and dig in the carb as a last resort .

If you have one of those grey ethanol fuel lines I’d change everything on the tank side. The liner on the inside of the hose will deteriorate and clog the carburetor. If you check the filter it looks like a clear grit. If it has a manual choke pull it out when the motor starts to bog down and see if it keeps running.

Also I noticed the pressure lubricator seems to be leaking is this normal? Should I put some thread sealant tape on it?

Take it to a person that works on lawnmower's and he can fix it.

Wrap the threads on the pressure lubricator with tape and let it ride. Godevils with bushings always sling a little grease.
