This sucks big time. I spent many days skipping school and hunting Crab. I was always envious I couldn't afford to hunt the clubs along the million dollar mile. Good quality calls!

Tragic. Prayers for his family as they celebrate his life.

And be careful using your equipment.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

The waterfowl community and call makers lost a legend for sure. Did not know him but since I have started making duck calls, learning how to making goose calls, and learning how to blow a goose call. Watched many of his videos and a lot of the guys who make them now have learned a lot from him. RIP and will be praying for his family.

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation joins the Grounds Family and Friends in their grief at the sudden loss of Tim Grounds this past week. Tim was the Founder of Tim Grounds Championship Goose Calls, and was a great supporter of The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation.

To show our respect and to and commemorate his life in a way in which we believe he would approve, We have placed his initials, TWG, inside five goose bands and will band the next five geese at the Sanctuary with those bands. The band numbers are 102450-102454.

Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will live long in the annals of history as the legendary World Goose Calling Champion.

    In Deepest Sympathy,
The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation

If Donnie has it narrowed down to two people, they must be in the witness protection program for him not to have recovered them.

Incredible sendoff. My friend that was at the funeral said there wasn't a dry eye in the whole crowd.

He always said that if he finds out he only had 6 months to live they were fucked. 😂
