    Terrible. Life is short.

I still use a Grounds Short Magnum for Canadas. Great call indeed. Probably still have the VHS of Tim hunting at the Monkey's Eyebrow club in Illinois somewhere.

I hate to hear this. I too flipped a honda 450 over on me May 19 of this year. As badly as I was hurt (broken femur, dislocated knee and ruptured thigh muscle) I know that I am EXTREMELY lucky that I wasnt killed. Had it landed just a little differently on me, my outcome could have been WAY different.

Prayers up to the Grounds family

Could not believe it when I got word of this. He was a great dude and definitely left his mark in the waterfowl world. Here a pic of a little art work and autograph he a hunter left on the wall at Camp in Saskatchewan. For some strange reason after 12 years I decided to take a picture of it this year

Been a tough day up here.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

You just never know when it's your time. Prayers for the Grounds family.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

I wonder if he ever got his bands back after that shitbag stole his lanyard from his pit?

4 or 5 shotguns, blind bags (with calls and bands on lanyards) and ammo stolen from a pit blind at Tim's lease.. The Lanyard stolen was his son Hunter's with 25-30 bands on it. Evidently, the next weekend, the lanyard, calls and bands magically reappeared and were hanging from a mirror on Ground's truck ( or so the story was told ).. that's over 10 years ago.

Yes lanyard and bands were returned. Now my buddy Donnie whom guided for Tim at Crab Orchard had his lanyard stole about 10 years ago from his house had 72 bands on it and has yet to be recovered. He has it narrowed down to two people
