    Default The one I wanted...

Been thinking about it and threatening to do it for a while, figured I ain’t getting any younger. All the new “technology” and “luxury” never did much for me in a truck. Picked it up Wednesday and if she goes together the way I have it pictured in my head I will be a happy man. Always found a certain pleasure and comfort in the simple ways of old.... but not too simple as she will have a little fire to her when it’s all said and done

1985 K10 Custom Deluxe. Bought it with a blown 4.3. The lady I bought it from’s grandfather bought it brand new. She and her brothers learned to drive in it and she had lots of memories in it. Said she spent the AM crying knowing it was leaving the family. I assured her that we would take care of the truck and keep her updated with pictures and progress. Best story from talking to her, her grandfather loved Hank Williams and one day after picking up his great granddaughter in the truck, the little girl was later overheard singing “Don’t come home after drinking looking for loving” hahaha that story made my day.

On the trailer coming home.... love me a long bed. To hell with those new beds you can’t fit a fishing rod or a dog box in

When I read " blown" I was hoping to see a supercharger sticking out of the hood... Wow.

Nice truck man. Looks to have a good body. No cab corner rust from what I can see.

What are your plans for it? My 86 Custom Deluxe had the 4.3 too.

Nice. I hated to let my dodge go about 15 months ago. In hind site I was really stupid to sell that thing. The new owner send me pics and updates from time to time...it at least went to a good home.

Can’t wait to watch the build thread on this thing.

Cab and body are in excellent shape. Interior will need a dash pad and a radio and outside has enough surface rust to fit on a dollar bill. No thru rust, even in the usual places.... I was very surprised. My excitement got the best of me last night and I tried a corner of the paint on the tailgate. Was pleasantly surprised and that lead to me working on the whole tailgate and getting in bed too late haha

You’re going to need some overalls that are 3” too short, duct tape on your boots and a pouch of Levi Garrett to drive that thing properly.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
