California, the "Left Coast" or is it.
California is known for its laid-back style, surfers, pot culture and Hollywood to the south and to the north in the bay area you have the entire drug culture represented along with "free love", hippies, and the hot bed of liberal politics. But is it really? California did not pass the pot law (Proposition 64) the first time it went vote before finally being passed in 2016 (the year Trump won.) This is the state of Jerry Brown who is a self professed hippie that partied and was married (sic) to the likes of Linda Rondstat off and on for forty years. He consistantly opposed the pot law, but why? Would that not be hippicritical for a public, pot-smoking governor not to demilitarize pot in his state? Hmmm
Then there is the free love. In 2014 California passed a law SB-967 the so-called "'Yes' means 'Yes'" law. Under this law, it would mean that you would have to verbalize with your partner at least once but perhaps several times before and during the act of consentual relations that you both still agree to it. Actually verbalize, "Yes, i would like to have intercourse with you." Lacking that verbalization, would constitute rape. For over a decade in CA there has been a statute that says that a woman beyond the legal limit of intoxication (.08% just as in DUI) CANNOT give consent. Meaning, having relations with a woman that is above .08% is defined as rape. Please do not admit it here if you live in CA, but think about what % of relations that you have had with dates or your spouse that would have not met either of these tests. Spouse?!? Yes, spouses are granted the exact same protections under the law and it is commonly used in the family courts in CA during divorce and custody hearings.
What are the consequences of this? Well, we are seeing it now in these hearings. Do we believe them? The truth is we were not there but view them from the lenses of laws I put before you above, then answer.
The RAINN group survey said that 23% of all undergraduate females were victims of sexual assault. Do you believe that? IF you believe that and send your daughter to college with a 1 in 4 chance of being sexually assaulted, then we need to talk. Would you let her get in a car if you knew there was 25% chance in the next four years she would have a life-altering accident? Now ask yourself if using the definitions above if you believe 23% were victoms.
Its a new day and our daughters and sons are living in it. We can be upset, we can have discourse, but it is real. MG

I don’t know how you’re supposed to get laid anymore, everything kavanaugh is accused of are my usual go to’s. It’s always been my understanding that no means yes and yes means anal...

It's the right coast if you are in Canada.

The authors of the study themselves specifically stated that one couldn't extrapolate from their data that 1 in 4 women are/would be assaulted in college. Among the many reasons for this were: a very small study population, and most importantly, that the responses were solicited in a manner that invited women to participate if they wanted to. Obviously, someone with an adverse experience is far more likely to respond to a voluntary survey, where, rather than taking a random sample, the surveyors just wait to be contacted. These facts haven't even slowed down the "rape culture" hysteria.

These groups are not going to let the facts get in the way of THEIR truth. MG
