    Default The one you want

    After seeing ColeJ's GMC truck,

it left me thinking about what model would be the ultimate retro rebuild.

I would love to own one of these '58's...

A child of the 70's, the baby shit green tailgates I sat on during deer drives still appeal, but the trucks didn't have a lot of soul until you put a bigger set of wheels on them. Yeah it is a Jimmy.

    What is your project truck?

This came with the property I bought four years ago or so. Outside was rhino lined and camo'd. I traded it...sometimes I think that wasn't the brightest idea.

We used to climb all over that DU rig until Randy Alexander would come out and run us off for being poor assed high schoolers.

I remember trying to convince The Old Man that he NEEDED one of those.

"I don't want to get divorced"

    But you NEED it!

"Do you want to live in an apartment with me while I am divorced?"

Yes. You HAVE to buy one!

"It would almost be worth me buying one to see your Mother's face when I parked it in the driveway, but no."

    Please!

Factory never made such a beast but a mid-80s crew cab Chevy with a short bed on Dana 60s and 37s with the 6.5TD will be a priority once my girls get through school.

Second would be any C-10 short wide bed from 64 through 72.

I never cared for the quad headlights on the 58-59 but as I age, they have grown on me quite a bit.

We took Randy to Southern Illinois with us back in ‘04 and he got to bunk with me in the motel. He must have packed a dozen pairs of shoes and boots that he threw at me all night while I snored.

Had one in high school, that I fixed up. Seriously considering selling my current truck and buying a fully restored one. I did just fine without Bluetooth and heated seats, but I would install a backup camera.

Love to own an old Power Wagon updated with a 5.9L CTD.

Dad had a ‘68 or ‘69 IH C Series 4X4 extended cab when I was little. Still remember that steel dash and vinyl seats. Shotgun and rifle ammo on the dash along with a carton of Camel/Winston/Marlboro/Pall Mall or whatever he was into. Old big ass Eveready flashlight, tape measure, gloves and notepads. No idea what was under the hood. If I could buy one just like that I’d do it in a second.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Yes, but wouldn't it still be considered a custom deluxe?
