These type post explain why UGA or SC will never win a NC while teams like Clemson, Bama, Ohio St, Penn will win more titles. Their fanbases have a winner's mentality and do not whine over their competition is hindering from winning a title.

I agree with you on Carolina and I'm a SC fan but come on. You can't put Georgia in the same boat. They have a couple of NC's and a runner up last year. And so far this year look pretty solid.

Oh the minor achievements of UGA supersede a couple of steak house bowls. But the fanbase mindset is the same. They rest in the laurels of Alabama. When you hear SEC nobody thinks of any team in the SEC East.

UGA claims two consensus national championships (1942 and 1980); the AP and Coaches Polls have each voted the Bulldogs the national champion once (1980); Georgia has also been named the National Champion by at least one polling authority in three other seasons (1927, 1946 and 1968). The Bulldogs have won 15 conference championships, including 13 SEC championships (tied for second-most all-time), and have appeared in 54 bowl games, tied for second-most all-time. The program has also produced two Heisman Trophy winners, four number-one National Football League (NFL) draft picks, and many winners of other national awards. Georgia has won over 800 games in their history, placing them 11th all-time in wins. I see where this could be considered minor achievements.
