    so the sides of the steel legs rust but the bottom of the same legs wont?
    you people are brilliant.

    clearance? Sure. Pour a one foot slab and maybe you should worry but if you're parking a boat, car, or RV, I'll bet you can get away with a 3" slab.

    Not nearly as bad..

    Why don't you pull the building off with a tractor, pour the slab with ramps on both sides, and pull the building back on the slab..

    Probably need to anchor the snot out of it.. Like 36"OC with 8'' of embedent

    pour slab beside carport , cure , lift carport , slide slab under.

    Wrap it with plastic, seal it up good with duct tape...fill with enough helium to hover it at desired height over work area.
    Once slab is done, shoot a couple holes in the plastic.
