Who's giving it a try in the morning?

I’m going.
I am. 20-25mph sustained is gonna be sporty though.

I'm sitting it out. I'd hate to make a poor shot and have to track in the rain. It's killing me though.
They'll be moving. Good luck
I think I’m going as well. Bart of me says no but the other part just can’t miss it.
In all the time I've been hunting I've only worn a harness twice. I bought a a new one last year and never wore it. Last night I threw it in my bag and told myself I was going to do better about wearing one this year. I get up the tree and get somewhat situated and decide I need to readjust where my harness is tied to the tree. Right about the time I start doing that a decent buck steps out in the lane less than 10yds away. Needless to say I didn't get a shot
Big bucks move when the wind speed gets above 20mph.
Be safe.

You can try but there aren't really any good excuses for not wearing a harness. You just need to put the damn thing on and figure out where it needs to be tied to the tree. You'll be able to do it in the dark after a couple sits. Don't earn yourself a wheelchair by making up excuses not to wear a harness.
I switched over to a climbing seat harness and find it way more comfortable. With the right lanyard, it's a breeze to adjust and climb with. I'm using one made from stiff climbing rope with the carabiner attached to a Prusik loop.
I wouldn’t risk a broken back or death for any buck alive. You gotta be some sorta hard headed mo-ron to climb without one.
And getting crushed by a falling limbs in this wind is another Darwin way to die. I owe my family better than that.
I went this morning sat in a ground blind till 9:00. I saw a total of 23 deer and one was a very nice 8 point. Problem was I told my self anything I shot had to be at 20 yards or less. Needless to say none of them got close enough.
