We had shot a quail and it soared off prob 100 yards into the thick bush. He sent the dog in and about 5 minutes later here came his dog with the bird in her mouth! Before he sent her in he said he would kiss the dog on the mouth if she brought the bird back. He kissed that dog mouth to mouth that day but he didn't care. He was beyond proud of his dog!

I tweaked him with a derogatory post about tattoos on here and met him some time later in some doggy circumstance. I ran into him every so often and always had good conversation. He was a good dog man.

I didn't know he was ailing. What got him?

Years ago when my dog was young he invited me out to learn and run my dog with his a few times. I always felt very welcome from him and everyone else. Very knowledgeable and had some great stories. Sad to hear of his passing.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

I liked me some gundog. Would run into him time to time around town and he was always good for a 10 minute bull jive. I hate to hear he is gone, he's gonna be missed.
