I need to invest in a few heavier spinning combos. Is that Battle 6000 good enough for Tarpon, Cobia, and Bull reds?
I am either going to grab a few battles or get a few spinfisher 5500 or 6500.

Absolutely
Daiwa BG 5500, but yes those will work.

Spend a little more and get a conflict
battle or spinfisher will work perfectly.
"run and gun guide service"
Battle II’s aren’t very good. Upgrade to the Spinfisher at least or the Slammer III if you can. 5500 and 6500 have the same drag IIRC but the 5500 is a smaller spool and reel. 300yds of 50# braid is all you need, tie in your floor leader with an FG or PR knot and roll on. I like the Stradics too, got three that I get rebuilt every few years. A Penn 5500 is the same size as a Shimano 8000 for comparison.
I keep toying with this Van Staal buy to get one deal but I use my Avets more than the spinning gear.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
Battle II's will do what you want them to do. I have lot of them and they work just fine and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more if I needed more reels.

Second for Daiwa BG
For what it’s worth, I have Okumas spooled with 80lb power pro.
Yet to find an ocean fish that it can’t handle with ease.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
My cousin just caught this wahoo on a Saragosa so I would imagine a Battle will handle what you are targeting. I have 2 Battle 8000s and they've been great.

Quick everyone think of the coolest nickname for that fish to include in your comment.
Saw a tourist run his fingers along the teeth of a wahoo 1 day while I was working at Ripley Light Marina. When he got done, it was down to the bone and damn near hanging by threads. Said he thought the teeth were just for looks. Dumbass. Heard a few guys call them Onos.

I have 4 older shimano 6500 setups that work fine for what you are looking for and added an 8500 penn spinfisher to the mix this summer. Caught a large tarpon on 8500 spooled w 65lb braid and had no issues whatsoever w rod/reel setup. I believe it is holding close to 500yds.

I like my battles. I have 1000’s to 5000’s.
If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!
