I had fun Friday.. played so so, made my points, but that's typically a nice afternoon

Highstrung Sr let Ben and me do a little specialty shopping as well. A couple nice finds back there

That's my not so secret corner now.. I can't keep all the cool stuff back there. You should have come by yesterday morning.. You know we're getting old when people are leaving the tournament before my stores close.

    Scratch that Saturday morning...

Didn’t go to field till around 4:30. 300-400 got up when we went in. Limits in and hour. Could have killed a hundred. Never even sat down or finished a beer till Hunt was over. Most birds I have ever seen in a hunt. Getting ready to eat doves and hit it again this afternoon.

I had a blast. It was cool thanks to the clouds and a little rain. Birds were flying good. Shot ok.
Had a great bird girl helping me out. She did not shoot flying but ground checked one that was winged.
She also found and Indian ax tip in the field. I found a good bird point arrow head too. We offer both points to the owner and he said she could keep them. You can barely see the axe in her hand in the truck photo.
What more can a person ask for than a day like that? Thanks to the two hosts.

Oh only because you invited 20 more people at the last minute and I had to make enough to go around

We did ok on our field, first one I have fixed in years.

Had good friend and his 2 boys (12/14). They had a lot of fun and that was main thing.

I had one other friend come after his radio gig Saturday and we all shot ok but not a steady stream of birds but enough for us all to shoot a good bit

Came close to a limit but really wanted to make sure the youngsters got their shots more than anything

We have some ideas to make field better next year, live and learn but we had fun

My buddy and his 2 boys and wife went back yesterday and killed a few and she enjoyed shooting

I do appreciate all the advice I got on SCD on the field , really helped a lot and when GW showed up he checked few spots in field and was ok. LOT of dove fields in the area. Knew where the “sunflower fields” were and you could tell they hammered them their

Now it is time to turn dove field into a big food plot for deer
