    Nope , I had them dragging the power lines down on 301. I let em live and sat my ass in the AC. Planted a mile long ditch with Browntop millet. They ain’t going no where.

    Yea pisses me off too. Then theyll make a sappy post on how bad they feel and how he died "doing what he loved." And im thinking to myself, he definitely didnt die doing what he loved, he probably would of loved to be lying in a cool room.

    Guy I work with list a deer dog yesterday to heat. Then he said, "next year we should wait till October to start running dogs". Less than five minutes later he was talking about hunting this weekend....

    Folks been running deer dogs beginning Aug 15 for as long as I been alive. Hell, the few folks I know still involved run their dogs year round.

    They run through the summer, usually at night. Didn't turn out till 10am yesterday, that probably didn't help.

    My dog is still alive after retrieving some birds Saturday , I'm fortunate enough to hunt right on the river so he took lots of swims and we hunted in the shade with plenty of drinking water
