All is still well in my area of Florence. Woke up to no rain and the wind kinda died down. Radar says we are in a little pocket of calm, not sure how long it will last. I’ve heard of a few people lose power, but nothing major. Looks like the NC coast took the majority of this ass cutting.

I know this thing was really awful for a lot of people but I cannot say how overstated it was in Florence.

The wind has died down but it looks like the heavy rain has yet to come.

power went out at midnight. slept very little. Got up at 6 and hooked generator up to keep fridge going. Pine tree fell on lines up the road. Power company was out within an hour. Nowhere near as windy as it was yest but its raining steady. I don't mind the rain, just not the wind. I'll prob be heading to work very shortly

JAB and others, what are the swamp levels currently? With the rain forecasts in CLT now I was just looking at all the lake levels on the Catawba chain. Not looking good for water coming your way in a few days...

The storm has slowed to a 3 mph crawl as the center approaches Turbeville. Once through Turbeville, it should pick back up to over 25 mph and be out of here pretty quick.

Everything slows down when it goes through Turbeville.

I’m in an area that was hit pretty hard by the flood, no standing water here and only some small limbs from the pecan trees on the ground. They cut the rainfall predictions by half.

No power for over 24 hours and not enough rain to fill up my swamps

So far.....unfortunately this isn't over for Flo.

Besides the rain the fact it keeps going south rather than going ahead and scooting over to Columbia has me worried. We are gonna end up in that back right quadrant which could spawn some tornados. We don't need those!!!

There was some serious prayers going up and the lord heard them! When you realize how bad this thing was and how it played out it truly was a miracle.
