Default Ford Sync audio is distorted

On my 2016 f250 the sync bluetooth all of the sudden went distorted. Propts, calls, music, everything sounds like it is underwater and staticy as if I was in the mountains somewhere and losing signal. I've rebooted it and I've done the master reset and hasn't solved anything. The regular radio works fine with no problems. I'm wondering if there is a wiring issue where sync taps into the speakers? Anybody had any issues with this before I take it to the dealer 5 times before they actually fix it? Thanks.

I’ve had this issue once or twice with a 16 F150 and both times I turned off and turned back on and it was fine. Two or three times now I’ve been playing music through Bluetooth and had an incoming call, music will continue to play in the back ground of the call while the other person is talking and I’m the only one that can hear it. I need to get it looked at but just haven’t yet.

Is it only from audio from your phone? Might be your phone

Troubleshoot by syncing wife’s phone to the truck and seeing if it repeats

That will tell you if it’s truck or phone

If it’s truck I think dealer is the answer

Every manufacture except the ones with Apple Carplay have Bluetooth issues with Apple products. In my training I was told it was something with Apples Encryption.

For arguments sake. Some vehicles have issues, some don’t.

    It’s your phone

Nope this has absolutely nothing to do with the phone. All of the voice prompts and everything from the truck itself is the same.

I'd still unpair your phone from the device and the truck. Retest

Better yet try another phone and see if it still does it before you say it's absolutely not the phone.

It's not the phone. I unpaired, repaired, had bluetooth completely off....its not even really the sync system. All the features work on the screen when you press the phone and voice command, but there is little to no sound. The prompts by sync, music, ringtone, everything is severely muffled and cannot be heard or understood.

Whether your phone or my phone, any phone or no phone, the bitch that prompts you in the truck is muffled. Tried it 100 diff ways multiple phones, no phones, removed fuse unhooked battery its fucked. I just want to know if anyone had the same and exactly what is needing to be replaced so I can order it and do it bc the fucking dealer wants to have it for an entire day just to "diagnose" a recurring problem with a shitty design and software.
