I pretty sure he means that everyone has an appointed time for death. God knows when that day is, and he is in control.

God chose not to prevent her death. The gator did what gators do.

Indeed. The Big Guy lets us make choices, and sometimes we gotta deal with the consequences.

Sad no matter what happened. Guess it was just her instinct to protect her dog and it cost her life.

Like some of y’all, love my dogs but they sell them every day Ain’t but one of me

My kids need their dad around. Like you said T, I can replace a dog.

Hell, I'm confident Huntincosta wouldn't jump in front of a gator for one of his dogs, and he's got a lot invested in them hounds.

Not sure if accurate but I was told
Confirmed, she was drug into the water by an attached leash. Where are you guys coming up with the "protecting her dog" stuff.

God is in control.... but this lady had a choice , to live or get a new dog. I think she would be alive today if she opted for a new dog.

I suppose you have never heard of free will. If you willingly step out in front of a car then God ain't gonna prevent you getting runover. God helps those who help themselves.

I think y'all were pretty-much making the same point, both of which are on point.

I learned a long time ago that trying to figure out God is an exercise in futility. Just do what he says and enjoy heaven.

If you have a microphone laying around somewhere, drop it now.

Maybe not verbatim, but it's definitely there; it just depends on the type of "help" you need.

You're more likely to be hit by lightning. I work around gators almost every day. Go in ponds to work on pump intakes, replace fountains etc. I've had one or two act aggressive because they had nests nearby. Agents caught them, then released them once I was done. Most haul ass to the other end of the pond. I simply stay alert when I know they are around. The lady in HH was just bad luck. Gator went for the dog, and missed. Shit happens. How many dies in car wrecks yesterday?
Bears are nothing more than a nuisance. Personally I think it's cool as hell to have them around. 30 coastal tags were issued and I believe 11 were killed. I killed number 11, on WMA eating acorns. It's possible.
