“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Boycott Stan Jones and his Mallard Lodge! Sad day- they will feel the repercussions of it eventually. Hello OK/KS

Certainly not a win for the hunters or hunting in general. WMA mismanagement and de prioritization soon to follow and will be blamed on lack of funding.

Very important aspect to that. Delayed implementation so more true and accurate data can be analyzed. The barn door was left cracked. If you care any at all about going to Arkansas to hunt a WMA you need to be on the phone with all the commissioners (may be of no use with Stan Jones) several times between now and next August.
Become one with nature then marinate it.

Totally short sighted. People are lazy. I don't hunt WMAs often but I do hunt federal and this will certainly reverberate to other public options. Opposition speaker liking this to black Friday at Walmart was dead on. Stan Jones bullying that speaker with "Well...I've been hunting 60 years, so I know more than you..." was bs.
