Default Ricky Scott's whole hog bbq

    Never dissapoints.....

If you're ever passing through the Kingstree area on a Thursday evening around 6 pm, give it a try. He only cooks up one hog and is usually sold out by 7:30 or so, best pork around in my opinion

Yep, no sign or anything. And like Rodney's, they only take cash

Is he, by chance, related to Rodney and them?

I don't think that there's any relation between the two besides living in the same area and cooking some damn good swine

You can't beat whole hog. Jackie Hite, bless his soul, used to cook whole hogs on Friday's. Ain't been back since he passed.

Bringing up this old thread. I finally went today and tried Ricky's BBQ. I bought a pound and came home and tried it. Called him and he had more left so I went back and bought 3 lbs. Best I have ever had.

Took me back to some Sweatmans
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

There is no better bbq in the world than Williamsburg County. A lot of my dads side of my family is still in and around Hells Half Acre and Piney Forest.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
