Commitment surprise! Four-star defender picks Gamecocks over home state Georgia
    BY BEN BREINER

    August 16, 2018 02:00 PM

“I didn’t want to just go where everybody else wanted me to go,” Daniel said Thursday. “I wanted to go where I wanted to go. I wanted to do something different.”

He also has offers from Alabama and Auburn. Before he committed, 10 recruiting experts had predicted he’d end up with the Bulldogs. USC was his first FBS offer.

“I feel like I chose South Carolina because God gave me a sign,” he said. “He has been with me each step in my life and I’m sure He will be in the future.”

Georgia wanted him. Fans will say they told him to keep waiting. Kirby might would have screwed him over if some OL come into play. I don't blame the kid. He is a damn good one. Physical corner. Story I heard was Kirby and Mel Tucker went by GMC not looking for a cb. They saw tape and offered on the spot.

Good pick up for Muschamp aand Robinson. People better not sleep on TRob. He is a good recruiter and coach.

Sounds like very good pick up for USuC, like it or not they are slowly putting together some good prosepects.

UGA/Clemson are so loaded I think they are going to be the benefactor of a lot of great talent that does not want to wait their turn and can play right away.

I love to see SC going the Juco route.

Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

There's still a big concern that he'll flip to the upstate when they offer a free baptism and a day with Perry.

Good pickup for the nervous birds. If they keep it up at this rate, maybe in a few years the second half of the rivalry game may be watchable.

Not the case here, but Clemson moving more out of state to recruit is actually helping the Cocks on some kids here in state. A couple of your starting receivers are kids Clemson only offered as DB's. The QB from Myrtle Beach that just committed hasn't gotten a Clemson offer. In the past, Clemson would have been knocking down the door of a 4 star QB here in SC. This kid sounds pretty good, but, I can't remember the last time Clemson signed a juco in football. The kid from TL Hanna is one Clemson really did want, but, Muschamp got him to drink the Kool-Aid.

Did God give him a sign or did he get confused at a Bill Engvall act?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Juco is junior college. I googled it just now because I knew I had to have it wrong. Juco is not a form of mixed martial arts, that was my dilemma. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how signing a skilled fighter would be a bad idea.
