    Default Upstate Gopher Tortoise

Was checking for artifacts along the way as I always do while working and low and walked up on a Gopher Tortoise shell. Reached down and picked it up and found this under it....

I guess he couldn’t digest whatever they use in them balloons.

I don't think so. Since the Gopher Tortoise range does not extend to the Upstate it is obvious that this poor creature was ensnared by the balloon which carried him aloft for miles, dropping him in the Upstate. He likely died along the way from inhaling dumpster fire fumes as he passed over Columbia.

A five ounce balloon could not carry a one pound gopher tortoise.

Does a gopher tortoise weigh more than a coconut?

What is the air speed velocity of a gray phase crow anyhoo?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Depends on the size of the coconut.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Wrong. That picture was taken on the edge of a 75 acre field of the best looking soybeans I've seen grown in the upstate. They're belly button high on me and just starting to bloom.
