    Default Nice and wet

    71 degrees after this rain shower on the mountain. This puts us over 60" of rain ytd. We are well on our way to a record rainfall total this year...

    I wish the tater farmers up stream would crank all their irrigation systems up, and leave them on for the next week or two. Another foot and a half, and the Edisto will be real wide at us.

    5.5" inches here since Friday. They were calling for another 2"s today. But they have pulled back on that.

    It is a little damp.

    That Bermuda high that has been dominating the Atlantic is going to finally split in a few days, opening up the chance of something developing out of Africa. So far, it looks like we may get lucky and have it close back up before anything happens. The hot eddy in the Gulf that broke off the stream a while back remains the most likely factor that may send us something in the short term. Any significant tropical moisture would be no bueno...
