    Default A Good Find

Well, at least, I think it's a good find. Went to a consignment shop with the wife today and they actually had something that I wanted. I offered $50 and they took it.
Anyway, It's a Wagner Drip Drop Baster #9. I think it was a good deal at $50. I plan to use it a good bit.

After a little research, the style and position of the markings on this baster dates it to 1915-1920.

    Good job. I like that.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Nice! It looks like it is in excellent condition considering it’s age.

Don't think you need cast iron for meth. Glass is probably your best bet.

I just told Glenn earlier tonight that my grandfather had one just like it in the sixties and seventies and would render lard in it after we "killed hogs"

There's nothing like hot cracklins, a sweet potato smothered in real butter and cooked by the fire and a cold Pepsi.
