    Default Aquatic weed ID needed

Anyone know what the brownish weed is that grows in the open pockets of water in these pics? This is an impoundment that doesn't dry out and I'm just curious what's growing in it. I've seen Mexican squealers and summer ducks in there the last couple of weeks. Thanks for any info.

    Need a little better picture.

How deep is the water we’re looking at?
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Ha I know these pics suck Bogster, water is about 12-18" all the time. I'll see about getting better pics. Appreciate your input on this stuff.

I don't have a clue about the weed but don't hesitate to hit me up if you need help getting some nesting boxes up for the Black Bellies. If you put them up, they ought to use them!

You should check it out. It's an impressive operation. I got a weird feeling a slew a ducks will die in there this fall.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

This picture is from behind my buddies camp in S. La. I'm heading there next week to do some work and I'm looking forward to checking on a couple boxes I put up there last Fall.

Black Bellies are steadily expanding their range. I saw a picture yesterday of a pair in TN. I hope one day to see Blackbellies added to the September teal season.

Cool, I hunt in Sw La and we have 'em by the thousands during teal season. I live next to Butler Island (Altamaha Waterfowl Management area) and am amazed by the increasing numbers here. They absolutely love the boxes. Looking foward to getting some ready at my place.
