    Default Getting Unstuck

How many of you have winches on your truck or do you use a come along or something else if you get stuck? Hunting land an hour from home and often there alone, so started to think about this more.

Buy one and just put it on every truck you own from this day forward.

A winch is your friend when you don't have a friend! Just be prepared for people that don't have a winch to call you for assistance.

I want the warn with the air compressor built in. Seems to be a great tool. My issue is I don’t like my mounting options.

I’ve never owned a winch. I’ve used a few sticks and the Husky Liner mats out my truck, wedged under the tires that had the gears going to them. Walked right out every time.

Until you have had to climb out the window because the doors were halfway underground, you have not been stuck...

I’ve had the same winch on every truck that I’ve owned since the mid 90s. I rarely use any more but I’ve never regretted spending that money.

I use the air compressor 1000 times more than the winch.

To heck with a come along. I had one as a teenager and it was more work that shoveling out.

We have them on all of the work vehicles and the utv.

We use the UTV all the time. Mostly to move trees.

The truck ones get used 1-2 times per year.

The one on the jeep hardly ever gets used because the traction on it is just a lot better.

One thing to think about is the ones that mount in a receiver hitch so you can put it on the front or the back. Sometimes backwards is the only way to go........

You could write the book on stuck followed by...."How To Test The Limits of Your Truck, Car, 4wheeler, Tractor, Dozer, Friend's Truck, Excavator, Neighbor's Tractor, Backhoe, Boat, etc."

You only drive a vehicle in shit like that when you are in high school. Buy a fourwheeler if your roads are that bad off.

Who said anything about roads? Life outside of the box can be challenging sometimes.

Until you bury a front end loader past the wheels and break a logging chain, you have not been stuck.
