Yes
It ain't worth a damn. Got that shit all in my place. Ain't no seeds on there. Spray that bullshit and plant jap millet. You still have a few weeks.

Plenty of seeds on there when its finished......but the ducks around me don’t pay attention to it. I’ve seen the pond surface covered when the seeds drop....woodies, gadwall, teal don’t seem to care.
Funny no ducks seem to like it...the mallards, gadwall, black ducks, pintail, wigeon, and teal I’ve watched die over it sure seemed to love it. Funny, wood ducks seemed to prefer jap millet.
For the ducks
Looks good. My experience is that ducks absolutely love it....had 40-50 teal eating on it last week and got a pile more as of today.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Damn good food for a duck

Thanks for the replies! I thought it was the good stuff...just wanted to make sure. It’s been in there the past few years but never this much. Sounds like it will be a great supplement to our rice and jap millet.

Do y'all mow it before you flood or just leave it standing?
Depends- mow for some open water but leave a bunch standing ..... mast mallards I’ve ever seen on public were in NC in a beaver swamp in November not far from Silent Sam

mow it like a 3-year old was driving the tractor - just a few crazy paths through it to show open water before the season. The rest will fall with time.
