Thanks for the support. Like JAB I can't wait to see straps of ducks and smiling duck hunters coming off Plantation Duck Club.

First split was slow. Good variety of birds just not great numbers. Killed 6 species. Had a ton of ducks the Wed before the opener but most moved on.

That IS good variety. New birds are on the way hopefully.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

That's the way ours in public was.we saw at least 1000 birds, mostly wigeon, woodies, and ringnecks but nothing came back the next day except 100 ringnecks and 300 wood ducks.

What's the latest on dead birds? I'm looking for a place to get my boys on birds next year.

Bird numbers picked up a bunch last week. Good numbers of teal, ringnecks, mallards, woodies, a few cans and some grey ducks made for a good hunt. Looking forward to Saturday. My blind scratched out a few but should have done much better.
