Last time I saw the Sea Hag she was limping home from Beaufort on one Screw and had an outrigger that had been tied in a knot!

Tournament is on for April 2005. The boat with the most severely bludgeoned spaghetti tail wins the Hammers Down Memorial "I've caught more AJs on rod and reel than any man alive" Award. The trophy for this accomplishment will be 5.366 boxes of Vermicilli.

    More information to follow...

Heres my thoughts on the tournament.

Saturday, April 30th at a marina to be decided.
1 All crewmembers must attend the captains/drunks meeting Friday the 29th. Time to be decided.
2 You must fish out of the marina to be decided.
3 You must weigh in at the marina to be decided and the fish must be brought to the scales by water in the boat in which it was caught.
4 Entree fee will be $____ per boat. (I'm thinking $250.) In addition, each boat must demonstrate that for every participant on board there is at least 24 beers (one case).
5 Entree fee payback is 100% in a winner take all format.
6 The winner will be decided in the order of the following and starting at the top and defaulting in the event of no released billfish:

Blue Marlin release, most releases or first release of the day. Pictures must be taken of the release.

White Marlin release, most releases or first release of the day. Pictures must be taken of the release.

Sailfish release, most releases or first release of the day. Pictures must be taken of the release.

Heaviest meatfish from the following species:
Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, King Mackerel. All species are equivalent.

    SC ducks Hot Tuna Tourney

Biggest tuna takes home the money, no other fish counts. This entire idea came out of a argument over tuna expertiece so it should be a tuna Tournament. Marina should be G-town it's the midway point?

I love idea guys, let's getter done and set in stone.
It\'s better to burn out than to fade away.

Hey Hammerz - to beat a dead horse - question for you - your lover boy / tuna expert caught two fish on his show with the lady angler - called them bluefin tunas - based on the fact that they had vertical stripes on their belly - i'm not so sure about this id, in fact, i think he is 100% wrong, but I do not know much about the mighty bluefin. they looked like 25 lb yellowfins to me. i was under the impression that yellowfins have these stripes and bluefins don't.

    what say you??
